Located just 140 miles from Anchorage. Soldotna is the central hub of the Kenai Peninsula and home of the world record King Salmon. Soldotna borders the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and is home to moose, caribou, brown and black bear, wolves, ducks, geese, and many other types of wildlife. You can fish the world famous Kenai River (home of the 97 lb. World record King salmon), go camping, hiking, birding, or rafting.
For the less adventurous, you can tee off at the local golf course, take the family to one of the children’s parks, or to a movie at the cinema. Whatever you choose, Soldotna has it all.
