AK-49 Drag Race Series #5 | Kenai Peninsula Tourism Marketing Council

- Location is Arness Lake down South Miller. Huge thanks to Joe and Peggy Arness, without you none if this would be possible.
- GO SLOW DOWN ARNESS ROAD. I am getting complaints.
- NO parking directly behind race lanes (1.86” pick to your face at 100mph will hurt, I promise).
- Any racer/spectator must sign waiver at entrance.
- $5/spectator and paid when signing waiver.
- $20 per race class races. Paid at timing shack on lake.
- Race classes: 120, 200, 225cc open kids, 380 fan, vintage/fan, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000 and Open Mod.(see previous posts on race rules).
- 100% payout to racers.
- All races must have a ski loop duct taped solid or a ski loop black out and snow flap. (see rules on Alaska Drag Racing Facebook page).
- Registration is 11:30 to 12:30. You must enter all classes at this time. No jumping in later on. If you’re late, sorry.
- Racer meeting at 12:45 to go over tree and any new concerns or ideas.
- Racing starts at 1pm.
- Racers will ID what lane they are in and pull up to TV on designated sign and wait wgile the red circle says “do not stage”.
- Once tree is ready races will observe a green circle that says stage.
- Once stage orange light goes on, wait for all three oranges to flash, go on green. Red light means disqualification and you will move into losers bracket for your double elimination.
- As always this is a family fun event. No drugs or alcohol allowed on the property.
- 1 warning rule: If you are found to be drinking, high or arguing with no purpose you will receive a warning from me. Next time you decide to get out of line, you will be banned for the year. Last yr we had no issues and it was fun for everyone.
- The track and timing system is better then ever so we hope to race deep into April/May.
- Tell everyone to come out and enjoy racing and Double-O food truck.
- Thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers who have put in so much time making this possible
